Āzumana is a project currently in pre-launch development phase. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit azumana.com or submit a form on this site, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
We keep this simple because we believe you deserve to know exactly what is happening, and because we only collect what we genuinely need.
Who we are
The data controller for this website is Āzumana. For any privacy-related enquiries, contact us at hello@azumana.com.
What we collect and why
We collect information in two ways: directly through forms, and automatically through analytics tools when you give us permission.
Form submissions. When you complete a form on this site, we collect the information you provide: typically your email address, and optionally your name, role, and areas of interest. We use this to send you updates about the Āzumana project and to follow up on investor or partnership enquiries. This data is processed on the basis of your consent, given at the moment of submission.
Analytics (with your consent only). If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors find and use the site. This helps us improve the experience. These tools collect anonymised data including pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate location. No analytics scripts run until you give consent. You can change your preference at any time using the button at the bottom of this page.
Netlify. This site is hosted by Netlify. Form submissions are processed by Netlify before we access them. Netlify may collect server logs, IP addresses, and basic technical data as part of their infrastructure. This is covered by Netlify's Privacy Policy.
Cookies
We use two categories of cookies:
- Essential cookies. Necessary for the site to function. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies. Set by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. These are only placed if you choose to accept them.
Your preference is stored in your browser's local storage under the key az_consent. No preference expires automatically. You can withdraw consent or change your selection at any time.
How long we keep your data
Form submissions are retained for as long as the Āzumana project is active and the correspondence is relevant. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so promptly. Analytics data is retained according to the default retention settings of Google Analytics (14 months) and Microsoft Clarity (13 months).
Who we share data with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only with the service providers listed in this policy, and only to the extent necessary to operate the site.
- Netlify, Inc. (hosting and form processing) — United States
- Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) — United States
- Microsoft Corporation (Clarity) — United States
All three operate under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for transfers of data outside the European Economic Area, in compliance with GDPR.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where applicable, Italian privacy law (D.Lgs. 196/2003 as amended by D.Lgs. 101/2018), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data (right to erasure, Art. 17 GDPR)
- Receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@azumana.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) at garanteprivacy.it.
